Children's Ministries

Jesus said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. (Mark 10:14-16)

VISION: To welcome and love every child in the name of Jesus and to grow with them as His disciples.

We at Summit Church desire to be a loving church family which supports parents in the discipling of their children. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment for children to apply God's Word to their own lives and to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. (Deut. 6:5-9)

You know how, when you were a small child, you were taught the holy Scriptures; and it is these that make you wise to accept God's salvation by trusting in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim 3:15 (TLB)

They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 61:3b (NIV)

Sunday School

Children's classes meet in the lower level every Sunday morning, 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Growing classes are led by dedicated teachers who love the Lord and who love kids!

Our goal is for Scriptural truth to be taught with life application through age-appropriate curriculum by adults who are growing in their own relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Sunday School hour begins with 15 minutes of worship and praise, expressing our love for the Lord through fun and God-honoring kids' songs.

Then we divide by age into smaller groups for a challenging and creative study of God's Word. Curriculum is carefully chosen to guide students through the entire Bible, equipping them for ministry, and helping them grow as disciples of Jesus.

Kids For Christ Club--Mark your calendars for Summer KFC
July 14 - 18, 2008

All kids ages four through those entering sixth grade are invited to have a blast at KFC this year! You won't want to miss the treasure hunt through God's Word, along with great crafts, games, snacks, and songs.

Genuine discipleship takes place as children enjoy the attention of Christian teens and adults who love the Lord and model the joy of Christian living.

Nursery

Our nursery ministry provides a safe, warm, and caring environment for infants and toddlers (through age 4). Offered during our worship celebrations (8:30 AM and 11:00 AM) and the Sunday School hour (9:45 AM.), our little ones enjoy a positive introduction to the church family and God's love for them.
