“A place where ascending lives converge”

A PLACE…. We meet as a large group on Sunday Nights at the church at 6:30 PM.  The Apex is a safe PLACE where students can come to be encouraged and challenged in their spiritual journeys.

where ASCENDING LIVES… What?  Let me explain…Philippians 3:14, “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the UPWARD call of God in Christ Jesus.”  The Bible also says that we are to “offer UP our lives as living sacrifices to God (Rom 12).”  The Apex is about facing our lives upwards and living our lives for the glory of God.  So we like to say that we are “Livin’ it Up for Jesus!”

CONVERGEto meet, connect, assemble, join, touch, congregate, unite, or come together. The Apex is a place where students lives come together and they are able to build new, stronger, and deeper relationships with other students and adults.  We all come with different experiences and passions in life and as we meet we are able to learn from each other what it means to live for Jesus in our world today.

Several Area High School students actively participate in the Senior High Student Ministries of Summit Church.  These students come from many area school districts and meet weekly at the church.   Our purpose is to MOBILIZE and EQUIP Senior High students with the tools and knowledge they need to go out and make a difference in their world for Jesus Christ.  If you have any questions or would like for you or your student to get plugged in, contact Pastor Dan.

Summit Students traveled to the Czech Republic in August 2009.

LIVING BEYOND THE ORDINARY

LIVINGI guess it would be safe to say that if you are reading this than you are “living” as well.  But the question remains, are we truly living or merely existing?  Jesus said that He came to give us a full and abundant life (John 10) and one of our goals is to tap into that life and enjoy what God has given to us.

BEYONDWe aren’t really making the most of our lives if we are choosing to live them for ourselves.  Meaning, purpose, and significance are found when we choose to live for something (or someone) greater or beyond ourselves.  Isaiah says that, God’s ways are beyond our ways and that His thoughts are beyond ours (Isaiah 55).  When we live our lives for Jesus we are living beyond ourselves and for a greater purpose and meaning than we can find in ourselves.

The ORDINARYNot only are God’s ways and thoughts beyond us, but the way in which He calls us to live, through Jesus Christ, is not very ordinary!  His is a radical and revolutionary way to see and do life.  From loving our enemies to taking up our cross, His Way is not ordinary...but it is satisfying and fulfilling.

Summit Church provides incredible opportunities for seventh and eighth grade students to participate in an exciting Junior High Student Ministry.  We have a great staff of adult volunteers who love students and desire to impact them for the Kingdom of God.

If you have any questions or would like for you or your student to get plugged in, contact Pastor Dan.
