India Ministry

SPONSOR-AN-ORPHAN

The Summit Church family supports the ministries of AIM Asia in three major ways.

1.        Our missions budget in the General Ministry Fund helps sustain the work of the national pastors and evangelists taking the gospel to the unreached tribes of India.

2.        10% of “over and above” giving to Seeking Things Above will be used to expand our orphanage facilities in Hyderabad.

3.       In addition, many people have “sponsored” one or more girls or boys in our Immanuel Home orphanages, making a commitment to give $20 monthly per child, which provides full support (food, clothing, shelter, medicine, education). Currently 150 girls and 80 boys live in the two orphanages, and we would love to see the people of Summit provide full funding for this ongoing need. You will receive a picture and short biography of your "son" or “daughter”! India GirlsOur Ministry to India - AIM Asia

The primary concern of AIM Asia is to reach the unreached tribes of Asia and to care for the destitute orphan children. We believe in sending resident native workers to the neglected tribes so that they could live among them and share their life and faith. There are still 300 tribes in Indian subcontinent alone which do not have a resident worker or a viable worshipping group among them.

We are convinced that the return of Jesus would not be possible until all tribes and peoples are represented before the Throne of the Father (Rev.5:9, 7:9; att. 24:14).

We are also involved in literacy work in low literacy areas so that when they turn to the Lord they would have the first opportunity of reading the Word.

Our journey to the tribes has made us discover thousands of orphan children who needed parental care, affection, education and social upliftment. With the provision available to us right now, we are taking care of 400 children n our child care centers.

Sewing Training Centers are run for the poor unemployed women of the slum. They are given a certificate at the end of their 10-month training so that they could be either employed or could run a small business in their homes to eke out a living.

Besides, we take care of 200 totally deformed leprosy patients and hundreds of widows and old aged people by providing them monthly financial support.

Needs are indeed great. Opportunities are every where around us in a population of almost 1 billion. We want to thank you for willing to be a part of this work.

Pastor Doug and his Summit free church have been strong supporters of our work.

Yours to the last tribe,
Dr. Joab Lohara
